2025 Poetry Prize - OPEN NOW

This contest is open from February 20, 2025 to March 20, 2025.  There is no theme: send us your favorite, most creative, loveliest, and/or wittiest poetry. We will select one SINGLE POEM as the grand prize winner of $100 and three additional SINGLE POEMS as finalists to be awarded $20 each. 

Submissions to the 2025 NMR Poetry Prize are free. Please submit up to five poems together in one PDF or Word Document by email to editors@ninemusesreview.com.

Please do not include your name in the attached document. In the BODY OF THE EMAIL, please provide your name and a short author bio. Note: please send PDFs or Word Documents ONLY. 

Simultaneous submissions are okay, but we cannot accept work that has been published elsewhere. If your work is accepted elsewhere, please notify us so that we can withdraw it from consideration. 

Works will be read anonymized by NMR editors. All poems submitted will be considered for publication in NMR Issue IV regardless of whether or not they win a prize. All poems will be evaluated separately, but each poet is only eligible for one prize. Multiple poems by one poet may be offered publication.  

One (1) Grand Prize winner of $100 and publication. 

Three (3) Finalist winners of $20 and publication. 

The Grand Prize winner and Finalists will be notified on or by April 30th, 2025. Additional publication offers for NMR Issue IV to be sent after notification of all Finalists. 

Prizes will be sent via Venmo, Paypal, or Apple Cash.

The Grand Prize winner and Finalists will be offered publication in the forthcoming NMR Issue IV. This will be published during the summer, as the 2025 NMR Prose Contest will begin in May! As always, all NMR contributors receive a free contributor copy with publication!
